Basic Laboratory as one of the technical implementation units has a role and function in an educational system at Universitas Islam Riau. The basic laboratory plays an important role in supporting the implementation of academic activities in several disciplines in various study programs.
Currently, the Basic Laboratory of Riau Islamic University is intended to serve Basic Chemistry and Biochemistry practicum activities for the Faculty of Agriculture and the Faculty of Petroleum Engineering.
Basic Physics I and II practicum is intended for students of the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Geological Engineering, and the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Biology education study program.
Biology practicum is only devoted to all students of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Biology education study program. Meanwhile, the practicum of biochemistry, organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry, analytical chemistry, and physical chemistry is specifically for all
students of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Chemistry education study program.
The Basic Laboratory of Riau Islamic University is not only a location and learning facility that allows students to practice the theory in lectures but also a place for developing knowledge through research and community service activities.
